Overall:
We went for dinner on Sunday night at about 8pm. The service was very prompt and friendly and our waitress recommended the grissini with balsamic and olive oil. They were fantastic! We also ordered some marinated feta and olives to start with - both came out with so much that we had to take some home.
For mains we ordered baby goat, lamb shanks and chicken risotto. The shanks were up there with the best I've ever had (melt in your mouth), but I would have been happy if they were just served with mash, not rice as well. The goat was tasty, but there were too many bones and too much fat ie a lot of fiddling to eat the meal. The risotto was stunning with a beautiful delicate flavour, although the serving size was enough for two people.
Our waitress suggested the tiramisu that they make at the restaurant for dessert and I'm very happy to say we obliged. We shared it between the three of us and it was absolutely delicious.
The only thing that dampened our evening was the wait staff sweeping and loading chairs on tables around us at 8.40pm. I wouldn't have thought it was late enough to start closing and surely that's a job that doesn't take too long so it could be left until the restaurant is empty?? At 9pm they switched the lights off in our area of the restaurant. I guess they really wanted to get home.
As much as these two things really annoyed me, I will go back because the food was fantastic and the service was super quick and friendly too.
