Welcome to Pronto Ristorante e Pizzeria

Pronto is often so busy you have to wait but the food is good enough, and certainly great value, so it all seems worth it. The staff keep you entertained and are the ultimate in cool charm, so you'll be dining before you know it. There is good attention to detail here and restaurants such as this will always suceed as they deserve.

Sweets and coffee are also excellent between main dining times.

We just had a light meal. I had the eggplant parmigiana which was beautiful. The eggplant wasn't bitter at all and the sauce was really full bodied. My friend had the mushrooms which she enjoyed. Both were off the entree menu but we left full.

It was very busy but the service was very attentive and friendly. The staff are Italian and very welcoming.

The place was full but not too loud. It was cosy, like as if we were at an Italian friend's place.

I have eaten here twice and the first time I had a pizza which was disappointing. This Zingara I ate was ok but nothing special and my friends eggplant parmiagna was a small portion but tasty.

It annoys me you have to pay for still bottled water and I am more than happy with Perth's tap water.

When we saw the waiters they were great - very friendly & helpful but as we were at an outside table I felt we were forgotten about us as I had to enter the restaurant twice:to ask for menus & then to ask for the bill which was a long time in coming. Plus our dirty plates took awhile to be removed

Well we sat outside, but the first time I ate here I was at a table inside and it there was a nice feel about the place.

Overall:
I still cannot work out what all the fuss is about!

This is a great restaurant. Awesome food, good atmosphere, I can’t fault it. The staff are fantastic, without a hint of Claremont elitism that is often present in other nearby establishments. The highlight has to be the fresh pasta, it’s amazing. Don’t bother getting a pasta dish unless it is made with their fresh pasta. My only complaint is that the pizza oven makes it really hot inside but it’s a good excuse to have gelato for dessert!

Overall:
We always head for Pronto if we're in need of a reliably delicious Italian meal out. On this occasion we were feeling the mid-week blues and needed an excuse not to cook and Pronto provided exactly that.

We skipped the entrées and decided to go straight for mains. Instead of the usual favourites, we were tempted by two of the evening's specials (as tough as it is to turn down a delicious Pronto Pizza or Pasta). I went for the oven roasted rabbit in a white wine caper sauce served with roasted potatoes and broccoli. My companion went for the fish of the day, which was coral trout served with blanched greens and potatoes.

My Rabbit was superb. It had obviously been roasted to perfection because this typically lean game meat was very succulent and not at all dry. The white wine sauce was a wonderful compliment, with just enough salty/piquant capers and a hint of lemon zest to compliment the meat perfectly.
The trout was perfectly cooked and the dish was testament to the fact that great quality produce demands very little else than respectfully simple cooking.

An added highlight was the quality of the accompanying vegetables. So often side vegetables are slapped on a plate seemingly out of obligation by many kitchens, but both the broccoli and the blanched greens were cooked perfectly al dente and very much added to the meal instead of simply making up bulk. The potatoes were likewise perfectly roasted and were ideal to mop up the last of the juices

We finished with a very well made affogato which just capped the evening off nicely.

Service was as usual professional and helpful without being intrusive.

The atmosphere in this narrow restaurant is always great with a warm and friendly vibe, perfect for a smaller number of people.

My partner and I were planning on catching the train to Fremantle for dinner, however when we got there the train line was out of service. So instead we walked into Claremont and had the pleasure of dining here instead on Saturday night. We walked in just before 9 without a booking without a problem.

We started off sharing a small Pronto plate which had mixture of antipasto, meatballs, pate and toast and some sort of crumbed frittata. This was a lovely way to start the meal, my only complaint would be that I wish I had been informed what some of the tasty morsels actually were.

For the mains my partner had a Margarita pizza which he thought was the perfect balance and as good as a margarita should be. I decided on the pasta that came in a creamy tomato sauce with mushrooms and chicken, it tasted sensational. I guess my only problem with this is that I was too full to eat it all!

The staff were excellent and I believe both of our waitpeople were Italian which really added to the overall experience.

I would highly recommend this restaurant to all good people that love Italian food.
