We are passionate about our food and service at Retro Betty’s, and believe we bring a unique and interesting Australian concept to you.

Our burgers are made on the premises with the leanest meats and the freshest ingredients as with all our products. We also bake our own burger buns, baguettes and flatbreads.
Our pancakes are high protein, low fat and baked in the over to give them a taste all of their own.

Our Shake Deluxe is in a world of its own. More than just a milk shake they're a sensory overload. Our original blends of double ice cream & double flavourings.

I have been to Retro's loads of time already...and each time..I am never disappointed. I dont know why the rest of the reviews are so bad.. maybe coz they ordered "forbidden" food.

A colleague arrived from Melbourne and would like to try something "Perth"-y, so I took him to Retro's where we ordered their:

Big Betty: which is superbly great! luscious beef patty with soft chewy gigantic burger buns.

Pancakes: which is sooo nice and crunchy on the outside and chewy in the middle…with loads of syrup and heaps of icecream. for those who doesn't like their pancakes too sweet can have the sauce separate.

Honeycomb Milkshake: Which my colleague drank with much anticipation!

I ordered the Beef Patty in Pea Soup...which is just awesome! it's greatly served with very authentic Peas mashed up... yum!

overall.. I am very satisfied always!

I reckon...play safe and just order what they are proud of... Pancakes and Burgers washed down with their Milkshakes.

Yesterday night first time at Retro Betty's, after reading some reviews I was curious to try Perth’s best burger. I must say that from this point of view I was a bit disappointed I mean the burger was good, but not the best. The bread was too small compared to the whole lot, and in the end I only remained with the patty, although I must say it was good bread. As starter we got the garlic flat bread and let me tell ya... that was something you don't want to try. The bread was nice, but what they did is technically get their flat bread and put some garlic paste on top, awful. The menu said it had parmesan and trust me I didn’t see a bit of parmesan on that thing. I saw their flat bread though, and they do really look nice, so I would like to give them a try…hehe

But let’s talk about the shakes. The Choco Honeycomb is something to DIE FOR...absolutely divine. Perfect consistency nice honey taste (as they actually put real honey in it) really good, I am not a big chocolate shake person, but that one’s worth a try. We also tried the caramel banana double shake it was good at the start, but then it kind of tasted like medicine...the strawberry regular shake was good, but again the syrup is the one you would find everywhere else and finally the spearmint maple, not bad but I'm not a big fan of spearmint and that one was VERY spearminty. But all the shakes had the right consistency not too liquid and not too thick.

In conclusion if you haven't tried it yet do it now, and make sure you get the honeycomb shake.

I love this place, the burgers are some of the best you can get for their respective areas (there is a retro bettys at Innaloo near the cinema complex now)
They do actually rank as one of my favourite burgers... yum.

The restaurant at Innaloo cinema complex is much larger than the leederville counterpart and much better for a date, the service is usually quite good, although the burgers do always take about 15 minutes to be ready because they are made fresh, so this isn't a fast food fix (good and bad)

solid 4 stars, for the price you pay

Retros is pretty good for a Burger joint. You can customize your burger, ask for toasted bun etc. Quality is typically very good in terms of ingredients and you are not likely to have the Fast Food illness feeling sometime after your meal which main stream burger joints typically induce. Avoid at busy times coz you will wait a long time for your food - e.g. Friday nights. Otherwise good stuff.

The two times i've eaten there the burgers have been dry and for some reason tasted like corn?! The fries are nasty too, I am perplexed how you can make bad fries but they manage it.

They do however have a really funky setting, it's my fav place to go after I've been to a movie at luna to get one of their great shakes.
