Overall:
Although the atmosphere and food at this restaurant was quite good, we were disappointed at the low quality of service and attention given by staff. We ordered drinks to be served with our mains, but had to ask where they were when they didn't come as we requested. And after the meal we waited almost twenty minutes for our bill to be brought to the table, despite our asking two different waitresses four times. Very unprofessional. Despite this, we would go to the restaurant again to enjoy the atmosphere and excellent food. Although the spaghetti bolognese entre was really quite average, the mains were good. We ordered chicken with almonds and prosciutto and chicken parmigiana. The former was really delectable. So for good food and good ambience visit Roman Palace, but don’t expect the best service here.

I enjoyed my experience at the Roman palace and it is now become my no.1 favourite place to eat. I was greeted warmly by the bar tender who made me feel like I was a friend of his. I had the sizzling garlic prawns for entree and the spaghetti marinara which were extremely fresh and defiantly value for money. Half way through the meal the manager came out to see if the meal was to our liking which added a special touch to the occasion. Even though he was very busy it was nice to know that he has time for his customers. Im sure if there was something wrong with the meal he would fix it straight away. Overall ..Excellent dining and excellent service. I have recommended this restaurant to every one!

Realistically, I don't think I can add much value to the reviews that have already been posted. The ambiance is nice although when we went we were the only people in there which made the restaurant look a bit cavernous and more suited to a function that close dining. That said, there was no noticable echo or a feeling of emptiness. We sat next to the water feature which was a nice distraction. The owner looked after us and he was always attentive to our needs without being invasive.

We decided to share the antipasto plate with some fresh crusty bread. Quite a nice plate complete with a couple of prawns hot from the chargrill. Also had an unusual dip of marscapone, pine nuts and balsamic.
We followed this with veal medallions (can't remember the Italian name) and the fish of the day being king snapper. Both dishes were tasty - loved the roast herb potatoes. I don't usually order the larger species of fish as I am not too keen on them. This dish did not alter my opinion but I could still appreciate that it was well prepared and tasty. Another unusual step for me was to order dessert. I was suckered in to a batch of fresh cannoli with fresh custard. Cannolis always remind me of crostilas which my childhood friend's Slav mother used to make and I adored. As such I ended up ditching the custard and just eating the fresh crisp pastry. Yum! My fellow diner had tiramisu which she rated quite highly.

Got to use the Ent card here and got the max saving which worked out at about $35pp for 3 courses plus bread and drinks. Roman Palace also does $7.70 takeaway pasta lunches on Thursday and Friday. I am told they get very busy for weekend dinners especially so booking at those times would be essential.

The food was not a huge serving but you get the best products and some of the courses where just so mouth watering.

The meals were delivered in a nice pace so you have time for a chat in between course and relax.

The staff where friendly but didn’t get in the way of your dining experience, and definitely not pushy.

The restaurant itself was divine with a nice water feature in the middle of the room with lovely seating around this feature.

The Prices are very reasonable.

I have been to the Roman Palace a number of times, and have never been disappointed. The food is delicious, the service is friendly and unobtrusive, and the prices are reasonable. Definitely recommended!
