Overall:
I recently celebrated my birthday with 30 friends at this restaurant found it to be a fantastic choice. We didn't have to choose a set menu so everyone was able to eat what they wanted off the regular menu. The food was delicious, we eat at a lot of Indian restaurants and the food here is amongst the best Indian in Perth. We were most impressed with the excellent service by the staff. All staff were very friendly, professional, helpful and very patient with a large group people. We were also impressed with not having to wait long for our food, and most people getting their food at the same time. Overall an excellent fine dine restaurant whether it's dinner for 2 or 30.
Overall:
Had lunch there yesterday with a group of 8, so we had the set lunch menu ($24.50 a head, which included 2 complimentary bottles of wine). The entrees were delicious, as were the mains. We had to order a bit more rice and naan, but otherwise there was enough for all.
Service was great.
Overall:
I've worked around the corner from this great Indian restaurant for a couple of years now, and it is my FAVOURITE place to have lunch with friends and family. Invariably, I have the non-veg Thali, and have never been disappointed in the quality of the food and the quantity.
And the service has always been good too.
Overall:
Royal India, what a little gem tucked away in West Perth.
Having Indian neighbours throughout my teenage years developing my palette for colloquial Indian cuisine, I’ve been on the lookout for that vindaloo that really packs that authentic punch. Alas, Royal India delivers stunningly.
The pork vindaloo is absolute dynamite! It is exactly how I’ve always pictured it to be; spicy, addictive, and just magnificent. Slam this fiery red number down with loads of crisp pilsners. Be full warned that this dish is not for the faint hearted. But once tasted, you will never look back.
For those that are less gung-ho with spicy food, try the goat curry or the lamb madras. Beautiful and rich, the goat curry is exactly the sort of dish to quell my cravings for a classic Indian curry. In contrast, the lamb madras is lighter on the palette with subtle zingy taste that leaves you wanting more. Both dishes are solid with beer but I recommend a mango lasi as an interesting, and very tasty, fruity alternative.
Service is great and it is very reasonably priced. Royal India radiates the colours, warmth and texture of Indian cuisine. When dining amongst friends, it never fails to get a smile. I’m addicted.

This is one of my favourite restaurants.
On a Friday or Saturday night it is a good idea to make a booking, not just show up and hope there is an available table.
The vindaloo curry is to die for and they are willing to change the menu, eg there isn't a lamb vindaloo on the menu but they are willing to make it when I ask.
Food is delicious. Service is great.
