Overall:
I went here with a friend at around 9:30 on a Wednesday and they were kind enough to let us eat so late but we had to order very quickly!
The food came out relatively quickly we ordered a serve of main calamari and a pizza to share. The calamari was cooked nicely, but average on the taste, served on a salad with really tasty mayo. It was a vegetarian type pizza and it was big enough to share with nice crusty base. I thought they were scarce with the topping because there was two small pieces of eggplant on the pizza with about two tone of cheese.
Overall I think this would be a nice place for dinner with a few girlfriends, but not to impress.
Overall:
It was raining heavily when we three adults and three young kids hopped into Sandrino to escape the deluge and fuel up before watching the Spare Parts puppet show The Deep.
What a good choice.
Tables are crowded almost on top of each other which must make for an extraordinary din when the place is packed and a challenge for waiters to move freely but it also makes for an atmosphere as lively as just about any restaurant in Perth.
There were some great looking dishes coming out but we stuck to pizzas (between $13 and $16) and were delighted with the choices - a plain margerita for the little'uns, a tasty ham, pancetta, olive and mushroom pizza to which we added anchovies and a nice vegetarian number which included eggplant and roast capsicum.
They were steaming hot with the pancetta extra crispy.
The service was quick and smart with the waitress even coming back with two small bottles of mineral water rather than the requested one large one because it wasn't cold enough.
"We'll only charge you for the one," she said which won an extra tick.
Assorted bits and pieces brought the bill to $56 for the three pizzas which we thought was pretty good value.
Overall:
Sandrino is a bustling cafe style restaurant in the heart of Freo. It’s not the place for a quiet intimate meal, but if you are looking for a lively environment and good food Sandrino is the one.
The staff are friendly although this place does get busy so service can be a little slow. The food is excellent, and the menu varied. The pizza's are excellent value, the rest of the menu is reasonably priced and always exceptional quality. Definitely a place you want to come back to.
Book in advance as it can be busy even on weekdays.

Sandrino's is one place always trusty for a fantastic meal in Fremantle.
We arrived on the weekend for dinner with no reservation, and as they were flat out rather than turning us away they offered to take our mobile number and contact us as soon as a table became available.
Although the turnover is fast there is no feeling that they are trying to rush you out of the door unlike some Fremantle cafe's. The service is relaxed but quality and although not the most intimate there is a bustling friendly atmosphere.
I enjoyed the calamari and my partner the chicken Caesar with avocado (both priced under $20). Although we had minor complaints, over all the meals were very tasty and ample servings.
Throughout visits to Fremantle I have tasted almost everything on the menu at Sandrinos (chilli mussels my favourite!) and after trying many places throughout Fremantle we still find ourselves going back.
Overall:
We recently celebrated our 27th wedding anniversary there and had enjoyable time.
The baby goat tasted fantastic and the atmosphere was noisy but typical Fremantle.
The service was very good and we never had to wait to long for the waiters to return.
Would recommend to all.
Overall:
I really loved eating here. I’m not normally a fan of busy places but this was definitely an exception! I had the chill mussels which were so fresh and my friends enjoyed their pasta (which I had a taste of as well) The service was very bubbly. Can’t say anything bad about Sandrinos! This is my favourite Italian restaurant by far!
Overall:
A group of us went there for an early dinner on Sunday. The service was friendly and prompt, and the food was just delicious. Seeing as it's a very busy restaurant, its probably not the best place to go for a quiet romantic meal. Will definitely be back!
Overall:
I had my birthday dinner here with a group of 15. The food quality and quantity was fantastic, the food arrived all together and no-one was left waiting for their meal to arrive late. We bought in 10 bottles of wine so only had to pay for the corkage but it worked out a lot cheaper altogether than having to buy the wine there. The waiter was prompt and even though he was under pressure because they were so busy he still managed to remember all our requests (for more wine to be opened and more bowls of their lovely chilli oil)
The only downfall of the evening is that we were not reminded that we had left some of our unopened wine in the fridge so it was left. They had a usual public holiday surcharge when we went but it was worth the extra 10% because they put 100% into their food. I will definitely go back there again, especially to order their lovely pizzas, mussels and meats.
