Do not eat it! It is that simple, one of our worst dinning experiences in Perth. We ordered a simple pizza and entree (grilled squid). The pizza came out with a 3mm puddles of watery goo on top. We had about 1 and a half slices and stopped eating this soggy sludgy mess..... The squid was plain and tastless but not too chewy.

Service:

What service?? We were asked where we want to sit and the the waitress simply pointed to the table. As per the comments below, wave your hands or the will ignor your eye contact. Oh and ask for the bill just after you order as this WILL take a long time. PS: there were sever empty tables (not busy)

Ambience:

This place has all the ambience of a storage warehouse. With dated decor (circa 1960)... needs some work.

Overall:
Need i say anymore.... Don't go there, this place needs to take a long hard look at what it takes to run a restaurant let alone a good restaurant. There is too many other good restaurants near by, so keep walking.

Where do i start..... 2 of us had the chicken caesar salad, i was under the impression that there is more to a caesar salad than leaves and dressing (but what do i know) and the chicken was so tough that i could have broken a window with it, not happy. There also was a chicken parma which looked better cooked than my caesar chicken, and a pasta dish that looked just plain boring.

Service:

I am getting good at getting attention here, it just works to be plain rude in putting your hand up and waving, cause if you dont do this they will just avoid eye contact.

Ambience:

Stone walls and stone floors, great echo. Also it did not feel like the air conditioner was on, and we had to use the menu's to fan ourselves with.

Overall:
I am a sucker for punishment but we needed something easy for dinner before the rugby started. Alot of other people had the same idea but because i knew what the service was like, we had the reservation booked for 5.30pm, so it gave us heaps of time. Would not recommend it and they really have to work on their service and their food.

My partner and I started off with the garlic bread which was ok. My partner ordered the chicken and avocado and I had the calamari and chips. The chicken was fine but the avocado was brown and very average looking. This came with 3 small roasted potatoes which again looked and tasted very average. The calamari and chips were as good as what you would find at most fish and chip shops and the aiolo tasted like it came from Woolworths. Both meals came with garden salads which looked very tired and the produce wasn't fresh.

Service:

When we called the restaurant to make the booking their phone manner was terrible and when we got to the restaurant it got even worse. We waited 10 mins to be seated service with no smiles and no hello. When we were finally seated it took another 10 mins to have someone come and take our order.

Ambience:

Loud, crowded, very old and tired looking decor, so much promotional material splashed all round the restaurant looks so tacky. The table we were seated at was next to the toilet entrance and had a huge fan placed next to us. We were asked if we wanted it off but it was so hot and stuffy in there.

Overall:
Very very disappointing. I will never go back to this place and will tell my friends not to either. The prices are very high for the sort of food that is served. I was going to ask to talk to the manager but it was him providing the bulk of the bad service. The place is understaffed and the staff that do work there don't give a stuff.

I was very happy ordering the chicken and avocado dish and it came out with teh avocado brown and the chicken piece was quite small with 3 very small roasted potatoes and a small bowl of mixed- what looked like- supermarket packet brought salad- was not to impressed for $28!!

Service:

The staff where good and friendly

Ambience:

Very homey restaurant we had a young child with us and there was no problems- a bit loud once a few people are in there but was good

Overall:
Would have been better if the food was better then average

ordered 3-4 different pizzas. even though the bases were soggy in the middle, they were still pretty good. particularly the meat lovers & the 4 cheese. tap water not very good.

Service:

very busy, lack of attentiveness generally. slow drinks, slow dessert, wrong bill.

Ambience:

not very good, not particularly memorable fittings, too cramped, too noisy, couldn't hear any music at all, too hot & stuffy.

Overall:
would get take away pizza next time but would not dine in.

Need smaller servings, but better quality. No point making up for quality with quantity. Pizza was soaked in oil and laced with cheese, and base was a little overcooked. Pasta was very average, nothing special for a so called Italian restaurant. Steak was what we could do at home. Many things on the menu weren't available by 8 o'clock. Water doesn't even come when you ask for it. Wait staff are completely inattentive. Price is very expensive for what you're actually getting. Thumbs down.

Service:

Dismal, pathetic, almost non existent. Took 10 minutes to be seated. Took 30 minutes and two attempts to get baby chairs. Took 40 minutes to take our orders. Took 90 minutes for the mains to arrive. We even had to go across the street to buy water as it never came when we asked! 0 stars!

Ambience:

What ambience? Cramped, noisy, and uncomfortable.

Overall:
A very poor dining experience. Mediocre food, appalling service, and high prices for what little they actually offer. After waiting 40 minutes to place our orders, and 90 minutes to be served our food, we weren't at all happy. We certainly won't be going back after this experience.

Started with the Pizza Bianca bread, it was ok- a little too much parmesan for my liking. We shared two mains, the Calamari and the Vegetarian pizza. Steer clear of the Calamari, which was described by my "date: as a "greasy lank rubbery calamari complemented by half cooked soggy fries and forgotten aioli - a big old bland mess!". I have actually had better Calamari from a dodgy fish and chip store, and the chips were horrid- soggy and tasteless. We had to ask for the Aioli (which could best be described as "meh") to be bought out. The pizza was ok, but still nothing exciting. I was not impressed by the food, and I am normally always impressed or at least satisfied by Italian. Not this time

Service:

we had about 6 different waiters- and I think the communication was really lacking. We did have a lovely girl, who was helpful and friendly. Our meals were bought out by a child??!!? poor wee man looked so nervous-I could not bring myself to ask him for the missing Aioli so asked another waiter!

Ambience:

I don't mind busy places, so it was not too bad. Probably not a good idea for people who don't like noisy restaurants to visit! We had a hens party group next to us, screaming etc but it was ok and it was a saturday night. It was kind of what I expected.

Overall:
I would label it as very average . Would not go back anytime soon. The food just put me off so much, and really thats a large factor of enjoying a night out! Does not compare to other places in Perth, such as Ciao Italia- which has great food and a vibrant atmosphere for about the same price.

Food was what you expected and they were quite large serves. Part of the group had pizza which they said were quite good. Me and my partner had a pasta each and we were both happy with them. Food came out within 10 - 15 minutes of ordering which was nice and it was reasonably hot, but I thought my gnocchi was not hot enough.

Service:

Oh my god, where do I begin! It took 20 minutes standing in front of the desk to be seated. Then when we did finally get a table it was to close to the door and really crowded, so we moved ourselves to another table. Then it took ages to be served with staff avoiding eye contact.

Ambience:

Very noisy place but this was expected. The table we had wobbled a bit but this was fixed by one of the group. The whole place felt disorganized and under staffed, which is a shame. If they addressed this then it wouldn't be so bad to visit.

Overall:
I will not be going back there again. Service was disgusting and this to me is the most important thing. Food was ok for the price you pay but does not make up for the lack of attention from the wait staff. We ordered enough drinks to last us through the meal so we would not have to wait for the staff to serve us again. Not something I would recommend to anyone as there are way better places out there!

Went on cheap Tuesday and had Dolce pizza and partner had Quattro Formaggi. Pizza's were very good. Quality ingredients as well.

Service:

Very good. We had a waiter that was very attentive and had come to us within 5 minutes of arrival.

Okay.. low level talking and some children. Very family orientated. Lights are a bit austere.

Very good value and nice serves. Love the family feel.

Visited Siennas again in a group of 15 for a birthday. The meals came out pretty much all together which was good. My chicken avocado salad ($20.50) was nice and filling.

Service:

They started clearing everyone's plates when one person was still only half way through their meal, which was rude. Service was polite and friendly when the order was taken, but other than that
practically non-existant throughout the evening. We were never offered dessert menus or drinks.

Ambience:

Nice, it was a Saturday night so was cozy and full.

Good size meals that filled the plate...but had no flavour. I ordered the meat lovers pizza and my partner chicken stuffed with prawns (two small shrimp!). The pizza was burnt all around the edge, but the chicken was well presented. We shared our meals to enjoy two different flavours, but there was no flavour except for the Italian sausage on the pizza. When waiting to order drinks at the bar (see service) the gentleman behind the bar was making a cappuccino. He was seen using the handle of the spoon to make a swirl in the froth, and then licked the spoon and placed it on top of the coffee machine!! It goes without saying that we didn't order coffee at the end of our meal.

Service:

Very poor. Our waitress couldn't speak proper English. It took her 10mins to ask for our drink/entree order, then when we had finished the drinks she took the glasses away without asking if we wanted to order more. food came out promptly, but our 2 meals came out about 3 minutes after each other!

Ambience:

I felt very dirty. The restaurant was messy, with boxes of serviettes etc. visible to the diners. the waiters all complained to each other that they wanted to go home, and rolled their eyes at each other when walking past one another.

Overall:
Expensive for what we received ($70) and the experience. Wouldn't go back there again. But if you like cheap meals, then go there on a special night. The prices of their 'special' night are written on the main menu, which doesn't make you feel to good paying full price (approx $6-$10 cheaper) on any other night!

I hadn't been to Siena's in Mt Lawley for ages and I went there late last year with some girlfriends for a catch up and left very disappointed.

We found service slow and it lacked atmosphere. I ordered a pasta dish and after finishing it I said to my friends it tasted like packet pasta. I was very disappointed and so were my friends. My favorite dish the pumpkin ravioli wasn't on the menu.I don't know if they have new owners & new staff but the staff seemed like they didn't really care.

Taking of our orders was slow and drinks were slow coming out too.I have to repeat I am really disappointed in them.

Yes, the place is a bit squeezy. Yes the service could be a touch better (but it's not as bad as some have described).

But the food is excellent... well, my veal was lovely, but my wife's pasta was a bit ordinary.

I'de go there again.

Excellent food and friendly service is what keeps taking me back to Siena's for the past 5 years. Their veal with Marsala wine cream is just perfect.

The place looks and feels cramped in especially when full but this is soon downplayed by the food and service.

I've always been a fan of Siena's for a good hearty meal, but as of late will give it a miss in the future.

Ate there just before Christmas and although the food was lovely, the front of the restaurant had been opened up to let the fresh air in. As well as the hot air outside it also let in all the flies, so we spent our entire evening waving them off our meal.

Last night we thought we'd give them another go but ordered our meal to take away. Clearly the meal had been rushed with the garlic bread barely toasted, just covered in oil, and the onion throughout the carbonara almost raw. To top it off the size of the carbonara was pitiful compared to that if you were to dine in, but you'll pay just as much.

Would rather just trek to Leederville where the meals are a little more reliable!

If you're after a nice woodfired pizza, check out this place! Pizza and pasta special days give you good value for great food.

Sometimes it's a bit crowded and the waitresses can't keep up with it (we arrived on a crowded night and after 20mn waiting, one of the waitresses asked if we wanted to have dessert or coffee)...

The spaghetti carbonara is fantastic!

For the third straight time dining at the Mt Lawley restaurant i was met with excellent food and very sub par service.

On all occasions i have eaten there the group that i was with accumulated a bill over $400. Knowing this i would assume we would be treated as a valued customers but we were not. we were spoken poorly to by cheeky teenage floorstaff which no-one appreciated. i can honestly say i will never eat there again even though the food is very good.

Woo, this place does seem to go up and down looking at the reviews... Came here with a friend on a Tuesday evening. She told me the place "tries to act posh, but isn't" but the food was ok.

We were lucky to get a table, as they have special prices on pizza and pasta Mon - Weds and the place was packed.

To be honest, it was rather cramped and we had trouble fitting everything on the table... One wall was mirrored, which usually creates an illusion of space, but when what is reflected is a crowded restaurant, it just makes it look bigger and more crowded. Thinning out a table or two might improve the ambience.

Service was quite good - they weren't too grumpy at us for having tap water, and we didn't have to wait long to be seated or have orders taken. We also didn't have to wait long at all for the food to come out. It's a double-edged blade, however - While not waiting long on a crowded night is impressive, it makes me pretty sure that the meals were pre-made en mass and just doled out... Regardless, they tasted quite fresh so I don't think it was a microwave job at least.

The food was good. We had bread, Greek salad and two pasta dishes - no complaints from either of us for any of it. The servings were a good size (especially given the discounted price) and it was all quite tasty.

To be honest, I think the ambience is where this place really fails. If we had gotten the same speedy service and tasty food in a less crowded, quieter place which put more effort into presentation, the whole package would have seemed a lot classier.

Hmmm I was a tad nervous about eating here after reading the reviews but a friend had arranged it for Mothers Day so I thought I'd just have to bite my lip.. I was very pleasantly surprised. The staff were over within a minute of us walking in to take our drink orders. We selected our food and it being Mothers Day I expected to wait a while.. we didn't! We ordered starters, 6 adult meals and 8 kids meals
and not a single complaint from anyone, all served by a delightful friendly staff.

I eat out regularly and I know when I've had a good meal.

Sorry to read about the people who have had a bad experience here, maybe Sienna's have read the bad revues and improved. I would go there again no problem!

The service and food can be substandard - it really just depends on the night (which is not acceptable). Their pastas and pizzas have been excellent, or just average (pizza cooked to perfection, or slightly soggy. pasta fantastic or almost completely raw). Last week, their grilled fish of the day was average (probably not worth the price) but their Caesar salad was quite nice - very generous serving of chicken and about 1/2 an avocado (unfortunately unripe).

They are always very busy so it's advisable to book even on weeknights, where their cheap pizza & pasta deals pull the crowds. Last week the service was less than desirable, we ordered 1 salad, 1 pizza and 2 fish of the days. The salad and fish came out, and we waited and waited for the pizza. By the time it came out 30 minutes later the rest of us had finished our meals - the waiter put the pizza down and cleared our plates at the same time. Our remarks about this were ignored.

Don't go to Siennas expecting good or fast service, as it’s variable. Their food ranges from average to very good depending on the night and who cooks it obviously. Their cheap pizza & past meals are however worthwhile, good price for the serving size and sometimes delicious too!

I went with my friend for dinner on the Mon-Wed pizza & pasta night special.

For the price $10.95, the food was absolutely delicious. Serving is worth the price.

I didn't like the service, because it was so busy, they should have had more staff on working.

Our food came out at a good time, but when we wanted to have coffees/cake, no one asked us. We were waiting for a long time and we had to go up there and ask for someone to get our coffee orders.

Overall it was okay.

The pizzas were of poor quality. The chicken avocado pizza was fine if you are on a diet. If you are having mushrooms on a pizza just check that they will cook the pizza with the mushrooms on it and not add them later. The pesto prawns linguine was the saving grace but it could have had more than six prawns in the dish. Water costs $1.50 per bottle on principle this is something I object to especially when the restaurant is licensed.

The tables are too close together. If you do not wish to stare at yourself in a mirror all night just ask not to be seated at the end or the room.

The service was average.

Whenever my friends and I go to a Sunday session to the Queens we usually venture next door to Siena's for supper.

The staff are great and it does get busy but we're never in a hurry so that doesn't bother us.

My favorite meal there is the Ravioli in Pumpkin sauce. Very nice. The seafood platter is nice too.

There have been times I've been there other than after the session and again love the ravioli. The service is good but it is a very busy place.

It's always an idea to book too.
