I had the chicken stirfry and it was very tasty. Ate it all despite being full. The satay was the best I've ever tasted!
The waiter (and i presume owner) was very attentive.
Casual but homely and inviting.
Overall:
Quaint little restaurant that is the sort of place you would go with friends for a great laugh. The owner is a little kooky but the service is great and food was delicious! My first experience at an Indonesian restaurant but I was impressed! Prices were reasonable too.
Overall:
This was a casual dining experience, with prompt friendly service, and the ambience was great. The meal was delicious, and very good value for your money. We had a variety of dishes within our group. Quite a popular venue, therefore booking in advance is a must.
Overall:
Sweet Java is a small family run restaurant. The menu is not extensive, but the food is traditional East Javanese cuisine and as such is not overly spicy hot. The beef rendang is the best that you will find anywhere in Perth (normally served as part of nasi campur, but if you ask it will be served as a course by itself). Service is good but as it is a very small and popular restaurant you should make a booking for most evenings.
