In a word, Excellent!
I ordered the 'surf & turf' and my large scotch fillet steak was perfectly-cooked rare, served with a stick of king prawns, beer-battered chips & small salad. I noticed that the squid main, garlic prawn main and pork cutlet were all generous serves & truly delicious.
Value for money, quality food. All sweets were good as well. I tried the New York-style baked cheesecake - I savored every morsel because it was so delicious. The coffees were professionally served & looked great as any other cafe.
Food overall from the 8 guests & watching the other diners, was definitely worth our visit to this restaurant. I hope you will have the same gastronomic experience as we did when you dine here as well!
Excellent!Incredibly courteous, professional, groomed with smiles for every diner & a little smalltalk as well. I was apprehensive initially, as the restaurant was fully booked & our meal orders were taken, but not the wine order. However, as the evening passed they proved how good they were!
The lighting was good, but the tables were black plastic with NO table cloths. The restroom facilities were hidden behind a concrete block wall that resembled a toilet facility in a park. The noise bouncing off the hard surfaces created a very loud atmosphere. Saturday night can be quite a din!
Overall:
Aside from the ambience of the restaurant which can be fixed by the owners, I was very impressed by my dining experience on Saturday, 30AUG08. The food and staff were excellent, the prices were not overly expensive & the total dining experience with a group of friends was memorable enough to want to go again. Although the food is served very quickly, the staff are busy enough, that they give diners a lot of time to chat amongst themselves without constant interruption. A very good experience!
