Food:

Excellent excellent excellent. We had the chorizo tasting plate for two and were blown away by the quality of the produce. There was actually 2 plates to this dish, one with dips, bread and crackers and the other was a hot sizzling plate of chorizo, prawns, cheese, olives and roasted vegetables. Both plates were superb. The dips consisted of avocado aoli, macadamia pesto (the best) and tomato chutney and were a nice accompaniment for the bread and the other plate. The prawns and chorizo were very good quality (although I've never seen that much chorizo for two portions before) and like the the other morsels, were warmed to perfection.
We were left full and satisfied, one of the best tasting plates I've ever had. Great Sav Blanc too!!

Service:

Service was excellent. The staff remembered us from our wine tasting the day before and greeted us warmly. They were knowledgeable and courteous and we were served very quickly.

Ambience:

It was a cold and blustery day but the views of the vineyards and the surrounding hills was very charming, and the interior of the restaurant/cellar door was cosy and simple. The music was pitched at the right volume (quite quiet) since there weren't too many diners and I left feeling very relaxed.

Overall:
In spite of forgetting to use our Eating WA card discount, we had a lovely time at Wills Domain. The food, service, ambience and most importantly wine (!) were of an excellent standard and thoroughly lived up to the recommendations we had been given. We would certainly return and urge others to visit Wills Domain in the future. We were told that they were expanding their menu so that is just one reason to return!

We had heard good things about Wills Domain so decided to check it out last weekend. As we were only in the region for a few days, and there are a plethora of wineries available to visit, we expected something special - and that's exactly what was delivered.

Sampling some of the wines before being seated, my partner was impressed with the quality of the produce. While Steve poured the samples he was happy to chat with us about the wine making process, and what makes Wills Domain unique.

The tables are situated overlooking the vast vineyards and are a sight to behold. Once seated by the friendly Robin, we had a difficult time deciding which platter (which makes up the majority of the menu) to order as they all looked good! The platter arrived at our table in good time, and once it did we were very happy with our selection. The Chorizo was particularly tasty, although all of the items on offer were delicious. I would advise going to Wills Domain hungry though as we didn't come close to finishing our platter!

The venue has facilities to keep the children amused but it's also very well suited to couples.

The combination of relaxed atmosphere, excellent food and wine, and great service makes Wills Domain a destination we certainly plan on re-visiting.

Have to give it 5 stars definitely in all areas! The setting, perched on a hill looking over a little valley - the view from wherever you are is stunning. Staff all obviously LOVE what they do and the owners are always around. They are all very helpful and chatty about everything especially wine and food. The wine is superb in my opinion. I go crazy for both the Shiraz and Cab Sav - and on this visit fell in love with the Semillon surprisingly (it’s not something I enjoy unless it’s in a blend usually). Great recommendation and went perfectly with our tasting plates.

Tasting plates are almost always exciting and well done but Wills Domain takes that concept a few miles further. The chorizo which they source from Dubrovnik Butchers in Bayswater (because its the best chorizo - that I have ever tasted anyway) is the highlight for me - served with a tomato relish that was to die for. The bread was fantastic with a chunk macadamia pesto, asparagus served in a tall shot glass with a delicious cheesey creamy sauce, big phat olives and heaps of other delights!

The big blue heeler Rexy and the one legged magpie called Nathan add to the delight I get from visiting! Really looking forward to next time I can make it down there.

I first discovered Wills Domain a year back and thought I'd revisit as we were all impressed last time.

The location of Wills Domain is on top of a hill with an impressive view overlooking their wine yards down a valley. Inside its décor is modern and cosy, they have tables outside also.

The food menu mainly comprises of platters. We ended up getting the Wills platter along with a seafood one; once again we were blown away with the food, great presentation and amazing taste (the grilled chorizo sausage is to die for). The platters aren't cheap, but once you experience them they defiantly worth it. Went down nicely with a bottle of the Wills Domain Shiraz.

If you down in the area, I would thoroughly recommend making a stop and getting a couple platters and some yummy wine. This is my first 5 star review as I don’t give them easily.
