This place is great - cheap, friendly and tasty. The serves are good sizes and are not your "average chinese".

Ive never had a dud meal and reguarly dine there. I don't see parking as a issue. There is plenty of parking on the street behind the building or there is an additional car park.

The lack of EFTPOS was only annoying the first time (not knowing) but after that you just come prepared the next time.

My lady friend and I went to the Yip Kee Noodle Restaurant last evening after reading its reviews. The parking (limited) is very hard to get to if you are coming from the east. It is a family restaurant as pointed out by Kimsta83. So allow for the impact by very young children. Definitely not a venue for romantic dinner.

Our first dish was sizzling Japanese tofu which I can recommend. The crispy chicken with chilli & vinegar sauce is basically deep fried half chicken served with chilli & vinegar dip; too plain for us. Our third dish was beef and spring onion; the beef was very stringy (which I very seldom come across from a restaurant) unfortunately. The servings were generous. For rice, this is the first Chinese restaurant that I have come across that offers coconut rice (should go well with the Malaysian curry chicken). There is also chicken rice without the chicken.

The service was good. Cost was only $37. Could easily have been great value for money with other dishes. However please be aware that there are no c/c and EFTPOS facilities; I don’t believe this is a good business decision.

This is my family resturant - and being asians ourselves, its quite a bold statement to make. You know a chinese restaurant is good when you see asian people dining there (quoted by a good friend of mine).

Dishes i would highly recommend: Pantagonian Tooth fish (lightly fried in soy sauce) $28 for a service of approx. 3-4 pieces, sizzling japanese tofu, kan kong balachan (vegetable with dried shrimp - a little spicy) and the chicken with vinegar sauce. These four dishes would service 4-6 people (depending on eating capacity of course!) and should cost you no more than $70.

On rare occasions, you can request the kitchen to whip you up with some interesting dishes 'off' the menu such as Snow crabs in a Singapore style hot and sour sauce, or lobster with noodles. I really like this place and we usually go there once every 3-4 weeks with the family. Everyone we have taken here have commented on how good and close the food is to proper malaysian food - i tend to agree. Parking is a bit of a problem only cause of the sheer popularity of this joint. Recommend you to book before going jus to ensure you have a table.

Kim is usually our waiter - he's the best and most helpful waiter you could have - thumbs up dude!

This a fairly average suburban chinese restaurant. Its relaxed atmosphere and simple decor make it an ideal place for casual and inexpensive dining. My partner remarked that the ambience was a lot more relaxed than the restaurant down the road, which was loud and richly decorated.

The menu has all the usual dishes one would expect from a chinese restaurant whose main business is takeaway with not many of the more unusual dishes you find on a "Chef's Special" kind of list. That being said, there were many dishes available as individual meals that you usually see on a lunch special menu. And there are no desserts. I had been hoping for fried icecream but alas none to be had.

The service was good, the waitstaff were extremely friendly and polite. Our waitress seemed to be new as she was often helped by the other staff, and made a few mistakes, but they were quick to remedy that and we were more amused than offended as she was genuinely apologetic and it was a bit of a comedy of errors so we all had a good laugh.

The food itself was fairly average and not overly saucy or loaded with msg. And for a weeknight it was busy but not crowded. Tables were spaced far enough apart to not have to worry about squeezing past tables or being forced to listen to other people's conversations.

All in all, I think this place would be better to go to for lunch, or when you can't be bothered cooking dinner but don't want fast food.
